Kevin Parks graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Pfeiffer University in 2011. Originally from Arizona, he was brought out to North Carolina on a four-year athletic scholarship to swim for Pfeiffer in the NCAA Division 2. After graduating, he taught for four years at David Cox Elementary School as a 2nd and 4th-grade teacher before switching gears and going from the classroom to the gym. He was the PE teacher at Corvian Community School (middle) for three years and coached the boys and girls cross country team as well. He has also coached the swim team at Cox Mill High School for the last ten years. He will be starting his fourth year teaching PE at Bradford as well as coaching the Varsity cross country team. When he isn't teaching or coaching he is usually in the pool swimming laps or racing with his SwimMAC Masters team. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), specializing in youth athletes and sport-specific training. He has his own personal training business and brand, Parks Athletic Training (PAT), and loves sharing his adventures and knowledge with his students and athletes. He has been married to his wife Haley for seven years where they live in Charlotte with their two dogs Tank and Izzy.
