Jolie Fabrizio, SS Department Chair/AP Psychology and American History II Mock Trial Coach

I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Western Connecticut State University in 1995. I worked in NYC for HarperCollins Children’s Books for a few years before relocating with my husband to Charlotte, NC. In Charlotte, I worked as a Creative Director for Pinkerton Creative Services Group for a few years. I began to dread going to work every day. I decided I needed a change!
I went to the University of North Carolina in Charlotte to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. I took a few different classes and after taking my first class in the education field, I was hooked!
After teaching for a year in CMS, we were relocated back to Connecticut where I earned a spot in the Masters’ Fellowship Education Program at Saint Joseph’s College in Reading and Literacy. I taught in Connecticut for three years and New York for two years before relocating back to Charlotte.
Since being back in Charlotte, I finished my Masters in Reading and Literacy with a Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment add-on and became certified in Social Studies. I have taught Kindergarten through twelfth grade in English Language Arts and Social Studies as a classroom teacher, facilitator, or interventionist throughout my career. I live in Mooresville with my husband Dave, son Kyle, and daughters Tori and Eliza. In my free time I am at a Pfeiffer Lacrosse game, glamping, reading, or spending time with my family.
