Tammy Fertenbaugh graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Western Carolina University in 1982 and her Master’s degree in Special Education in 1983. She taught 9th through 12th grades for a total of 17 years in Haywood, Rowan, and Cabarrus counties. Tammy also taught 7th-8th grades in Cabarrus County for 9 years as well as 3 years in 2nd-5th grades in a charter school after retiring from NC public schools. Moving to Bradford Prep in 2016, she has taught 8th grade exceptional children's classes and is currently an 8th grade ELA/Math inclusion teacher. Tammy lives in Concord with her husband Don and has a daughter, Taylor, who just graduated from college. She enjoys her pets, reading, and spending time with her family.
