State Testing

As a public charter school, Bradford Preparatory participates in all standardized assessments required by the NC Department of Public Instruction. To view all upcoming test dates for the year, make sure to check out the calendar link on this page.  Dates and times are subject to change.  Below is a list of the state assessments we administer each year. 
 
  • Beginning-of-Grade (BOG) in 3rd grade
  • Pre-ACT in 10th grade
  • ACCESS 2.0 for all English as a Second Language (EL) students (K-12)
  • NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress) in 8th grade Reading/Math
    • Each year schools across the US are randomly selected to participate in this required field study.  BPS has been selected for the 2018-2019 school year.
  • ACT in 11th grade
  • End-of-Grade (EOG) Assessments
    • Math in 3rd-8th grades
    • ELA  in 3rd-8th grades
    • Science  in 5th & 8th grades
  • End-of-Course (EOC) Assessments 
    • Math I 
    • Math III  
    • Biology 
    • English 2 
  • North Carolina Final Exam (NCFE) for North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) students
    • NCFE's are only administered for the following NCVPS courses:

  • Read to Achieve (RtA) in 3rd & 4th grades
 
We also administer College Board exams for AP courses and college acceptance.
  • College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Exams
    • Bradford Prep students enrolled in AP courses will also take the standardized AP exam required by the College Board.  These exams are administered in May of each year. 
  • College Board PSAT/NMSQT in 10th and 11th grade
