Merritt graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and from the University of Virginia with a Master's in Secondary Science Education. Before she became a teacher, she had an internship with a zoo, worked in a research lab, and was a recruiter for a college. This will be her 9th year teaching and is excited to join the Bradford Prep family! Along with 2 dogs and a cat, she has a husband who works in IT at a local nursing college and a 4-year-old daughter who starts Pre-K this year. Both of them keep her on her toes! Outside of school, Merritt likes to relax with family & friends and catch up on sleep when she can. She also enjoys being creative, organizing, and reading in her free time.
