Amy Cheek (she/her) graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BA in French and Theatre Arts. She is an NCDPI-licensed educator in the content areas of English Language Arts, Theatre Arts, and French. She began teaching French and Theatre Arts at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in 2013, obtaining her educator’s license through lateral entry. In 2019, she moved to Bradford Preparatory School to teach Upper School ELA. In 2025, she began the Upper School French program. Mrs. Cheek has been a certified Mental Health First Aider since 2023 and has been a member of The Philosophical Society: Oxford since 2026. Her favorite topics are early modern theatre, the Romantic period, and philosophy, with a special focus on ethics.
