Karen Estevez, 3rd Grade Teacher Assistant
Originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Karen Estevez is a dedicated educator with two decades of experience shaping young minds. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from SUNY Buffalo. Over the past 20 years, she has specialized in Kindergarten and 1st Grade classrooms, complemented by three years of leadership experience as an Assistant Principal. Her educational philosophy centers on a hands-on approach to learning, where building strong relationships and setting high expectations are the keys to helping students reach their individual potential. For the last five years, Karen has called Mooresville, NC, home. When she isn’t in the classroom, she loves exploring new towns, relaxing at the beach, and cheering on her favorite baseball and volleyball teams. She also enjoys expressing her creativity through baking and crafting, as well as singing and volunteering at her church.
