Chris Locke graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education from SUNY Cortland in 2007. He went on to earn his Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction Design in 2014 from Ashford University. Chris began his career teaching 5th grade in Mecklenburg County, where he spent 7 years building a strong foundation in elementary education. In 2014, he joined Bradford Prep, teaching 5th and 6th grade Social Studies for two years before moving into Administration. Since Bradford Prep’s opening in 2014, Chris has played a vital role in developing multiple programs and curriculums. Promoted to Middle School Principal at Bradford Prep beginning in 2025, Chris is dedicated to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for both students and staff. His leadership is marked by a passion for educational excellence and a commitment to student growth. Chris lives in Concord with his wife, Jessie, and their three sons: Jackson, Brady, and Anderson. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, and being outdoors with his boys.
