Ryan Friend graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in English, with a Secondary Education focus,
from St Ambrose University. While studying, Friend played collegiate softball for the Fighting Bees. She currently teaches both English II and Creative Writing here at Bradford. In addition to teaching, Friend is also passionate about coaching, bringing experience as both a high school volleyball and softball coach. She believes that all students deserve a chance to be successful whether it be in the classroom, on the field, or simply life in general. Friend looks forward to creating a program at Bradford that not only challenges athletes but harbors confidence and community.
Friend just recently moved to Charlotte with her Fiancé, Jason, and their dog, Bear. While
she’s extremely passionate about teaching and the work she does, Friend also enjoys reading,
staying active, and anything to do with Chicago sports.
