Melanie Philemon graduated with a Bachelor of Arts- Special Education from UNC Charlotte in 2013. She is licensed in General Curriculum and Adapted Curriculum, K-12. She taught in Cabarrus County for 4 years before joining the Bradford family for 5 years. After moving and teaching in Union County for 3 years, her family moved back to Concord, and she has returned for her sixth year at Bradford! Her teaching experience includes co-teaching, resource, and adaptive (extended content standards) at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She has participated in the school improvement team and the school autism team, mentored beginning teachers, and opened two brand-new EC classes over the years. She will be teaching 3rd and 4th grade resource this year. Her family includes her husband, Adam, daughter Eliana, and 2 cats, Muffins & Ozzy. She enjoys reading, creating things, spending time with family and friends, music, and watching a good show or movie.
