Brenna Lang, Lower School Elective

Brenna has been teaching in Charlotte for over 20 years, and she has many accomplishments over the years! As a versatile choreographer, she has been recognized both regionally and nationally by her peers in the dance industry. Her creative dances regularly place in the overall top 5 at competitions, and many have received Most Entertaining Awards, Choreography Awards, and High Score of the Day Awards. In addition, her routines have been selected by the judges to be displayed on the competition’s websites. She recently has had numerous numbers make it into the final battles at Nationals. She has also had a hand in many High School musicals around the Charlotte area with her Choreography!

Throughout her career, Brenna has taken numerous master classes from some of the best in the industry.  She continues to keep up her dance skills by attending workshops and dance conventions, and other in-house master classes when not teaching class!

And Brenna is no stranger to the stage, as she began performing at the age of three. She grew up dancing with her mother, who owned and operated two dancing schools in upstate SC. At the age of 9, she performed with the Furman University Dance Team, and she performed in numerous community events throughout the upstate. In high school, Brenna was picked by an Atlanta production company to dance and promote the reopening of Greenville Mall. She was very involved with her drama department at school as well. While a member of the group, their Musical Theater piece received a PERFECT SCORE at a competition against other SC schools, a first in the department’s history. Brenna was doubly honored because she helped choreograph the piece!  After high school, Brenna co-choreographed and danced in a production of the popular musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," among other notable projects.

She now shares her dance passion with her daughter, who is now a competitive dancer! Brenna is married to her husband, Nathan. They have two children named Tyler and Braelyn.
