Bradford Prep Community Service Initiative

We are thrilled to announce that Bradford Prep and Samaritan’s Feet have partnered to provide resources to members of our community.

As part of our mission, we are always looking for ways to incorporate school-wide service opportunities. As we were researching opportunities for this school year, a Bradford Parent approached our Head of School and shared the vision of Samaritan's Feet. This organization serves and inspires hope in children by providing shoes as the foundation to a spiritual and healthy life resulting in the advancement of education and economic opportunities. After speaking with the Samaritan's Feet Representative, we knew this would be a perfect fit.

Community service has been an integral part of the Bradford story since we opened the doors in 2014. Over the past five years, we have partnered with Feed the Hunger to send thousands of pounds of packaged food to Haiti, participated in offsite food packing events, and created food packing events on our campus. Last year's Community Service Day consisted of over 1300 students completing projects for local town parks, nursing homes, and even chartering a bus to help with the hurricane devastation in Lumberton. This truly shows that service is a cornerstone of the Bradford Prep values, and we hope that these opportunities will instill the love of volunteering in our students and families.

We are excited that this partnership will allow us to participate in many service opportunities throughout the year. Our senior class has already participated in an activity at the Samaritan’s Feet warehouse. We will also have our students and families participate in the last step of the project, which will include the in-person delivery of the sneakers to the students that we are serving. The first step of the service project starts in a few weeks, and we need your help to make this service project a full-circle opportunity! We are excited for the students not only to donate but get to see the impact of their donation and service to others!

Thank you for your service and dedication to the Bradford Community. We appreciate you!
