Bradford Preparatory School

Tracy Hensley, Upper School Science Teacher

Tracy grew up in Duluth, Minnesota.  She attended the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado and received a BA in Psychology.  When she moved back to Minnesota, she decided to return to school and get a BS in Mortuary Science at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.   She worked for a number of years as a mortician/funeral director.  Tracy married her husband, James, in April of 2000.  Their first child, Carter, was born in May of 2001. He was born 15 weeks prematurely and spent the first 11 months of his life at CMC.  After his birth, Tracy became a stay-at-hospital/home mom.  James and Tracy eventually decided to adopt a little girl from China, and brought home their daughter, Cate, in June of 2004.  Tracy returned to work part-time teaching at her children's preschool.  It was there that she found her love of teaching.  She made the decision to return to school and to attend UNCC in order to get a MAT (Master’s in the Art of Teaching).  Both of Tracy’s children, Carter and Cate, are proud Bradford graduates!
